- I've had miserable experience with Boca modems. I bought one of their
- 1440e's when they came out. It worked great for about 2 months. They
- reluctantly gave me an RMA and issued a replacement. The replacement was
- a used modem, with scratches and screws missing. It worked for about 1
- year. I've since had 2 MORE, all with different problems. At one point
- Boca retreated from their 5 year warranty (asking a $25 + shipping)
- "service charge" with each return. The unit now have has old ROM's in it,
- and doesn't work with FAX stf. I am under the impression that they don't
- fix anything, just throw you another from their pile of returned modems.

- What a piece of junk.
